Change Your Lens is a week-long collaborative theatre lab led by Tara Theatre’s Artistic Director and Artistic Associate and is part of our brand new Constellations Artist Development initiative.

Whether you’re a sound designer, a movement director, an actor or a puppeteer, we want to bring a range of artists from different disciplines together to explore all of the potential approaches to developing material for the stage.

Four out of the five days will be spent exploring and experimenting with different techniques and methods of working with the final day focussing on creating material. Through the process of collaboration and the sharing of different perspectives and industry knowledge, Change Your Lens will enable participants to experiment with and expand their practice and process.

All participants will be given a bursary to participate. This can be used to supplement income or to cover transport or accommodation costs.

Applicants must have 1+ year of professional or non-professional in their discipline and a commitment to creating theatre and developing their practice. In order to open the door to artists with different levels of experience and ensure impartiality, participants for Change Your Lens will be selected by a random draw.
