Our artist development and creative opportunities nurture creativity and artistic expression in all their forms. From community choirs to paid playwriting commissions, we are committed to growing the next generation of artists and leaders as well as providing pathways for anyone to embrace the joy of creativity and get involved.

Our Programmes

Tara Theatre holds various different artist development labs and workshops as well as running longer-term programmes. These include our NOVA Seed Commissions for playwrights and our Young Company for creatives aged 18-25 looking to develop their skills.

All activities work with a range of South Asian, mixed heritage and Global Majority artists across the UK, bringing them together to develop skills and practice; get better at self-producing; challenge form with a view to create exciting and innovative theatre; and expand their networks.
