Tara Theatre proudly present The Comedy Lab, in collaboration with Brown Sauce.
BROWN SAUCE is known for its spicy, unfiltered humour that leaves audiences in stitches. It’s an exciting comedy night that champions and celebrates underrepresented South Asian comedic voices. Coming to Tara Theatre for the first time, this hilarious event is hosted by Sharlin Jahan in central London monthly, and features well-known acts and up-and-coming comedians.
Headliner Ahir Shah will bring his sharp, intellectual brand of stand-up featuring a blend of philosophical inquiry, political vigour, and sweet gags.
His most recent show, ENDS, won the 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show. It’s about family, immigration, marriage, sacrifice, history, politics, and beans.
Shah’s shows CONTROL and DUFFER were both nominated for Best Show at the 2017 and 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. His 2019 show, DOTS, was filmed at London’s Vaudeville Theatre for HBOMax. He has performed multiple sold-out runs in London’s West End and toured nationally and internationally in Europe, Australia and India.
As seen on Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You, Live At The Apollo and The Mash Report.
Hosted by Sharlin Jahan (BBC 4’s The Now Show, BBC Essex Radio), a Bangladeshi, British, and Canadian Comedian who loves telling (yelling) at people about these things at pubs.
