Tara Film Club proudly present Life is Beautiful: A Letter to Gaza | الحياة حلوة, directed by Mohamed Jabaly to celebrate Refugee Week 2025
Palestinian filmmaker Mohamed Jabalay is on a month long work trip to Norway when the Egypt/Gaza border closes and he is unable to return home.
He details his seven year fight to get back to his family, during which time he made his award-winning film, Ambulance.

Bringing the same insight and precision to her debut dramatic work as she did with her award-winning documentaries, Toronto’s Carol Nguyen immerses viewers in the intricate matrix that connects three generations of an immigrant family.
Scent of Geranium, directed by Naghmeh Farzaneh (5mins)
Immigration is a new chapter in one’s life, a chapter with unexpected events that can take one’s life down paths different from the one imagined. This film is an autobiographical account of the director’s experience with immigration.

Our Tara Film Club is a relaxed, informal space to bring a film loving community together to appreciate classic movies as well as the latest in innovative, groundbreaking and political contemporary cinema. Come to our building, tuck into our wide range of specialty popcorn, and meet like-minded individuals, all whilst enjoying industry leading cinema in our stunning, intimate theatre space.
