A night of live music, spoken word, monologues, poetry & open mic

Spoken Space is a one-of-a-kind evening of live improvised music from our star studded band that accompanies performances of moving spoken word, beautiful poetry, open mic and and monologues. Live musicians and wordsmiths improvise, collaborate and experiment in real time, creating an unforgettable night that celebrates words, sound and music in all their forms.

Spoken Space features performances from an incredible range of professional artists as well as open mic performances from audiences on the night.

Expect exceptional poetry, amazing music, a beautiful monologue performance and spoken word, all enacted alongside our incredible live band led by Taurean Antoine Chagar.

This Spoken Space is curated by Deen & Dunya.

Deen & Dunya is a poetry night that celebrates and elevates Muslim voices. Since its inception, it has enjoyed sell-out nights at Bush Theatre, Royal Court Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe, headlining the Shakespeare & Race Festival.

Expect an evening punctuated with poetry. Deen & Dunya is an authentically Muslim space that is sure to light a spark in your heart.

ACCESS

Spoken Space is a BSL Interpreted Performance.

During a British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreted performance an interpreter stands at the side of the stage, clearly visible to the audience, and interprets the spoken word and sound effects for D/deaf audience members who use BSL. In performances with integrated BSL, the interpreter will be part of the action on stage.

If the particular show you are attending is marked as BSL Interpreted performance, please let the Box Office you are booking to use the interpreter and they will seat you appropriately.
