The Funny Side’s Saturday night comedy show in Southwest London features some of the very best UK and international stand-up comedians on the circuit. DAVID WHITNEY
Born in Aberdeen into an army family, David was set to go to Sandhurst himself but chickened out at the last minute & went to drama school instead. Years later he was working in LA when he found himself performing his 1st stand-up gig. He’s not looked back since & now plays some of the biggest clubs in the UK. His material mixes political satire & pure filth, making him the thinking person’s comic.

GERRY K
Anecdotal, observational and refreshingly honest, Gerry is an established circuit headliner with an energetic and likeable personality, infectious joie de vivre and a beaming smile that warms up the coldest of nights. Gerry’s performed on “FHM Comedy Heroes” and across the UK and abroad at Jongleurs, The Comedy Store, CKP and many more top circuit venues. Gerry K is a truly feelgood act.
LUKE STEPHEN
Luke started his career as a playwright in 2004 before moving to Stand Up in 2007 where quickly became a recognisable face on the circuit. Being a finalist in the Comedy Café New Act of the Year in 2008 and a Laughing Horse semi-finalist in 2009. Since then Luke has performed in most of the top comedy clubs around the country, as well as performing solo shows at the Camden, Brighton, and Edinburgh Fringes.

CHIN WANG
Chin Wang is an up-and-coming stand-up on the UK comedy scene winning several comedy prizes and making the semi-finals of “So You Think You’re Funny” 2021. She grew up in China but has been a regular on the UK circuit since 2019 performing at comedy clubs including The Comedy Store London, Rotunda Comedy Club, and Monkey Barrel Comedy. She also gigs in the virtual world and has performed on various online comedy shows based all over the world, from livestreaming to live audiences at the ComedyUN in Shanghai, to several charity fundraising events, to having her joint zoom show – Mulan Your Ass.
GARETH KANE
Gareth is the resident compere of The Funny Side and is one of the most experienced hosts on the comedy circuit. He is also an accomplished actor and writer/performer with sketch group Harvey Garvey & the Kane who recently garnered 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh Festival
