KATE LUCAS
“Comedy perfection” (To Do List), and Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year. Award winning Kate Lucas’ musical comedy sees her in high demand at major venues across the UK. Her debut show was met with huge critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with a hit Soho Theatre run to follow. In 2019, she presented her second hugely successful show, achieving five star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe.

SHAZIA MIRZA
Shazia has been a mainstay of the British comedy scenes for ages and the award winning stand-up comedian and writer shows no signs of slowing down with her new ‘Coconut‘ show nominated for ‘Best Stand Up Tour’ in Channel 4’s National Comedy Awards. Her TV appearances are too many to mention … but here’s a few: “QI” (BBC), “Have I got News for You” (BBC), “Top Gear” (BBC), “Last Comic Standing” (NBC).
During lockdown, Shazia did one of the BBC ‘Culture in Quarantine Masterclass’ series. Her parents just want her to get married.

ANIA MAGLIANO
Ania’s sharp, wry writing combined with her warm, conversational performance style make her one of the most exciting young comedians on the circuit. She’s appeared on Dave’s The Comedy Guide to Life and that show received 5 stars from Diva Magazine. As a performer, she has been recommended by Comedy Central as a ‘show not to miss’ and as a writer, she has written for Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC2), Newsjack (BBC R4), and The Now Show (BBC R4).
JENAN YOUNIS
Jenan is the BBC New Voices Award winner which led to her own comedy radio show on BBC Three Counties, a finalist in this year’s UK Pun Championships, last year’s Amused Moose New Act competition, and has been nominated for the BBC New Comedy Award. Her podcast Jenan’s stand up snippets has recently been listed as one of the top comedy podcasts by The Guardian.
GARETH KANE (RESIDENT COMPERE)
Gareth is the resident compere The Funny Side and is one of the most experienced hosts on the comedy circuit. He is also an accomplished actor and writer/performer with sketch group Harvey Garvey & the Kane who recently garnered 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh festival.
