The Funny Side’s Saturday night comedy show in Southwest London features some of the very best UK and international stand-up comedians on the circuit. RORY O’HANLON
Already a regular face on Irish TV, Rory performs nationally and internationally from Berlin to Monte Carlo to Brussels and more. He’s featured on RTE’s New Comedy Awards, Republic of Telly alongside Des Bishop in Under the Influence. A veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe, including performances in The Stand’s ‘Best of Irish’ show, while also appearing at both Glasgow and Cardiff Comedy Festivals.

HANNAN AZLAN
Winner Hong Kong International Comedy Festival
Hannan Azlan is a Malaysian performer, singer-songwriter and musical improviser most known for stand-up comedy with songs and featured on Comedy Central Asia, MTV Asia, and ABC Australia.
Hannan represented Malaysia in their 2018 international showcase Comedy Zone Asia and has charmed audiences across Asia, Australia, Great Britain and Europe.
SAM NICORESTI
Hailing from Birmingham, Sam is fresh from success having won “Leicester Square Theatre’s New Comedian of the Year”. He is known for his blending of stand-up, surreal theatre, film and music to create one-person shows that explore consciousness, identity, and cosmic horror and currently developing a radio adaptation of his Soho Theatre show.

ASHISH SURI
Indian born Ashish Suri is a Comedian by night, and a Data guy by day. Nominated for the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2022, Ashish was also awarded the judges’ pick Panel Prize at the Beat the Frog World Series, and named the runner-up for the Brighton New Grin Comedy Award 2021 within the same week.
Ashish’s journey in the U.K. started as a student but quickly lead him to stand-up comedy in search of a cheap substitute for therapy and lack of social life.
GARETH KANE (RESIDENT COMPERE)
Gareth is the resident compere The Funny Side and is one of the most experienced hosts on the comedy circuit. He is also an accomplished actor and writer/performer with sketch group Harvey Garvey & the Kane who recently garnered 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh festival.
