Rakaya Fetuga is a poet and writer based in North-West London. Rakaya is a former Roundhouse Poetry Slam winner and Barbican Young Poet. Published in anthologies by HarperCollins and PanMacmillan, Rakaya has written for the BBC, UN, Facebook and Microsoft, among others. For the Roundhouse Last Word Festival Rakaya wrote and performed monodrama Unbraided to sold out audiences. Hosting Cave Open Mic at Rumi’s Cave and supporting new poets through writing workshops, Rakaya is an advocate for creative expression and its positive impacts on self-esteem and community.
