Arnab Datta
With over 25 years of experience in the music industry, Arnab Datta aka ‘Radius’ began his career by forming Kolkata’s first death metal band in 2006, which went on to win multiple band competitions across India, including becoming zonal winners of the Hero Honda Campus Rock Idols. As a prolific music composer, singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer, he has consistently pushed creative boundaries to experiment and create a unique signature as a musician.
Based in London currently, Arnab has performed at prestigious venues such as the Boston Music Room having shared the stage with legendary artists like Graham Bonnet, played at the Nehru Centre for the Indian High Commission, Hounslow Council, having collaborated with renowned musician/sitar player Jonathan Mayer and played at numerous festivals including Brentford, St Margaret’s and Hounslow South Asian festival in 2024 and all across the UK. His journey reflects a deep passion for music that transcends musical genres and cultures.
Presently, Arnab aka Radius is the frontman of ‘Compound Radius’, an original alternative world music band. His compositions are a unique fusion of languages and styles, combining English, Hindi, Bengali, and Sanskrit mantras to create a sonic canvas which blends Eastern and Western influences. Arnab’s goal is to craft music that resonates with diverse audiences, while staying true to the roots and evolving as an artist.
