Community Get Together Consultation

You're invited to join us for a facilitated discussion on your Tara Theatre

This July, Tara Theatre welcomes members of our community to interrogate the local role of the theatre in Earlsfield as well as the wider artistic community. Join us to engage, challenge and debate what work should be developed, staged and seen in London, nationally and internationally in 2023 and beyond.

Tara Theatre’s community get together is a unique opportunity for members of the Earlsfield community as well as Tara Theatre’s creative team and company stakeholders to come together under one roof to take part in a facilitated discussion. The goal of this event is to share your ideas, hopes and fears in your day to day lives, the world of the theatre, the political environment we find ourselves in, and our place in the wider world.

This conversation aims to unravel the past, present and future from a local, national and international perspective, incorporating a whole host of viewpoints from our community as a starting point for an original, never before seen kind of theatre.

As an event, this promises to be a social evening loaded with purpose and action. It’s a unique opportunity to take an active role within your local theatre, all accompanied by refreshments, snacks and the chance to meet and interact with members and leaders of the community.

About the Project

Tara Theatre’s latest project is a 4-year co-creation project. Each year we will work with a new partner to create 1 new verbatim* show telling the stories of real people around themes of interest and a fourth and final show which will involve all 3 partners for a major finale production.

This project will be informed by your responses to this questionnaire, so we greatly appreciate your contribution. The form should take no more than 5 minutes to fill out with most of the questions being in the form of rating on a scale from 1 to 10 (1 = strongly disagree; 10 = strongly agree).

*Verbatim theatre is a form of documentary theatre which is based on the spoken words of real people. The purpose of verbatim theatre is to provide a platform for the silent or marginalised in society and to provide an audience who are prepared to listen.
