Sayen Sanchez

Sayen Sanchez (she/her) is a London-based, British Latin American actor with a growing presence in the theatrical landscape.

Sayen has recently collaborated with world renowned theatre companies such as Gecko and Good Chance Theatre, starring in the acclaimed performance From Here On. As an extension to this, Sayen is working with Gecko Theatre to support the delivery of Gecko workshops to schools across London, and performed in a 12-Hour Midwinter Music Marathon with Good Chance Theatre and compass collective to celebrate refugee voices and raise money for migrant issues.

Her stage experience includes a three week run of Joe Carstairs, playing a speaking and lead dancer role within the London Chorus at Omnibus Theatre. Other theatre projects include My Kingdom with LatinX Youth Theatre where she was a lead performer, showcased at Southwark Playhouse and Brixton House. Her commitment to LatinX Youth Theatre now extends to scouting, facilitation and supporting upcoming talent as a Youth Ambassador.

On screen, Sayen has been featured in various multimedia projects, including appearances in the music video V Fri[end]s by BTS, a lead role in Family recipe distributed by Latin Quarter Films, and features in short films such as Imperial Flowers and Chance.

Additionally, Sayen has engaged in assistant directing, such as in Diablo, industry reading at Bush Theatre, developmental programs with Young Vic and a food commercial for Bite Back and Fully Focussed, further honing her skills in production and direction
