Do you want to create new work and be a change-maker in the theatre industry? 

This is a nationwide callout for all theatre makers who want to learn new skills, experiment, expand their practice, make industry connections and be the future of theatre.

The Constellations Residency is Tara Theatre’s signature artist development programme. We are offering a unique opportunity for theatre makers with 3-5 years of experience to build their expertise and make valuable connections. This residency offers a space to grow, trial and explore your ideas in our contemporary, democratic space.

The programme includes masterclasses from industry leaders and research and development time at Tara Theatre with a dedicated producer. This will culminate in a showcase of new work.

Constellations is open to all theatre creators nationwide, whether you’re a writer, deviser, artist, director or performer.

A group of 6 creatives and 2 producers will be selected for the project. Expenses will be covered for artists who are based outside of London.

The Constellations Residency will feature a range of in-depth workshops, including sessions on digital work, verbatim theatre, dramaturgy, physical theatre, and cabaret.

Constellations will culminate in a showcase that will take place on 23 and 24 March, with invited industry professionals on the 23 March.

Location: The masterclasses, R&D and shows will take place at Tara Theatre, 356 Garratt Lane, Earlsfield, SW18 4ES.

Fees

All artists will be paid a fee of £1000 for two weeks with theatre makers from outside London to stay nearby at the theatre’s expense.
