Javid’s passion for the arts dates back to youth theatre in Oldham, co-founding a South Asian theatre company in Manchester and playing drums in several bands – all in the 1980’s. Realising his passion for performing in theatre and music far exceeded his artistic talent, he turned to a career in Finance where he has spent the last 30 years in finance roles in industry and consulting. Javid is currently a Partner with KPMG, leading the UK Corporates Consulting business.

Driven by a purpose to open the door for others to succeed, he hopes to bring his wide-ranging commercial and financial expertise to support the arts. In particular, he would like to see South Asian arts and theatre flourish, reach new audiences and to make its voice heard in the world.
