Tara Theatre is on the lookout for 18-25 year-olds who have a background or connections to migration or displacement due to conflict.

Are you looking for your first professional credit as an actor, writer, director, designer, or stage manager? 

Then Tara Theatre’s Young Company is looking for you!

Over 12 weeks, you will develop and learn key skills in performance and production of a theatre show that will culminate in a week-long intensive rehearsal, tech week and a week of a performances – made by you at Tara Theatre.

The show will be directed by Tara Theatre Artistic Associate Natasha Kathi-Chandra.

We are looking for a company of young artists with an interest in acting, writing, directing, design (stage, lighting, sound) and stage management to form our Young Company for our Spring 2023 stage show.

You will need to be available for the following dates:

Young Company Recruitment Taster Workshop:
8 December, 6:30pm-8pm at Tara Theatre, 356 Garratt Lane, Earlsfield, SW18 4ES

Skill Building Workshops with industry professionals:
Tuesdays, 6.30pm – 8.30pm
3, 10, 17, 24, & 31 January

Following these workshops a company of 11 will be chosen to form our Young Company for our stage show. 

Devising & Show Creation w/ director and production team:
Tuesdays, 6.30pm – 9.30pm
7, 21 & 28 February (No sessions over half term)
7, 17, 21 & 28 March

Break: Easter

Rehearsal, Tech & Show Weeks:
Tuesday 11 April – Monday 17 April
Times: 10am-6pm (times may vary for tech days)

Preview performance: 18 April

Performances: 19-22 April (matinee and evening performances on 22 April) – 6 performances in total

Location:

The workshops, rehearsals and shows will take place at Tara Theatre.

Fees:

All members of the Young Company will be paid a total fee of £850 for the rehearsals and show weeks.
